(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team finished out the 2026 Pima Indoor regular season schedule on Tuesday at the Pima Indoor Multi’s Meet at the West Campus Aztec Track.
Sophomore Cedric Cade broke the Pima Indoor school record with 5369 points beating out Reece Gardner’s record of 5112 points set in 2022.
Cade took first place in all the events and earned new personal records in the Pole Vault (4.66 meters, 15-feet, 3.5-inches), 60-meter hurdles (8.42), Long Jump (7.29 meters, 23-11) and the 60-meter dash (7.03). He earned NJCAA national qualifiers in the High Jump, Long Jump and Pole Vault.
Freshman James Jerusalem (Catalina HS) took second place with a total of 3875 as he earned his national qualifier for the Heptathlon. He earned PRs in two events; the Pole Vault (3.16 meters, 10-4.25) and the Shot Put (8.81 meters, 28-11).
Freshman Andrew Schmier (Red Mountain HS) also qualified for Indoor Nationals after he took third place with a total of 2850 points.
The Aztecs will compete at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday and Saturday, Mar. 6-7 at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
