(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the 2026 Indoor regular season on Tuesday after the final day of the Pima Indoor Multi’s Meet.
Sophomore Hannah Droeg (Casteel HS) broke the Pima Indoor school record in the Pentathlon after she finished in first place with a total of 3366 points. Her total toppled Jackie Trice’s record of 3328 points set in 2023. Droeg is now No. 2 in the nation in the Pentathlon.
She earned first place and new personal records in the 800 meters (2:30.53), Shot Put (10.47 meters, 34-feet, 4.25-inches) and the High Jump (1.61 meters, 5-feet, 3.25-inches).
Sophomore Layla Konski (Ironwood Ridge HS) took second place with a total of 3071 points. Her total put her No. 5 on the Pima Indoor all-time list and No. 5 in the nation.
She took first place in the Long Jump at 5.18 meters (17-0) and earned new PRs in the 800 meters (2:35.16), Shot Put (8.59 meters, 28-2.25) and the 60 meter hurdles (9.29).
The Aztecs will compete at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday and Saturday, Mar. 6-7 at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
