(Vancouver, WA) Park University Gilbert women’s cross country runner Maryan Sharif competed at the 2023 NAIA National Cross Country Championships. Sharif is the first Park Gilbert runner to qualify for the national championship.
Sharif posted a time of 25:50.1 in the 6K run which was slower than her qualifying and personal best time (24.51.87) at the California Pacific Conference Championships but still an impressive final season for the native of Garland, Texas.
Sharif twice won Cal Pac Runner of the Week honors this season, posted a top-10 finish at the George Young Invitational and of course qualified for the NAIA National Championships.
