Arizona State to play five softball games on the road, two at home during Fall 2026
(Tempe, AZ) On Tuesday afternoon, Sun Devil Softball head coach Megan Bartlett and her staff announced a six-game slate – with an intersquad scrimmage mixed in – that will represent the program’s fall schedule.
The schedule will open on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when the Sun Devils play Pima (Ariz.) Community College at Farrington Stadium. Six days later, Arizona State will travel across town to play GCU on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Following a Maroon and Gold scrimmage on Thursday, Nov. 5, Arizona State will travel across state lines into California for a four-game set across a two-day schedule. The Sun Devils will play UCLA and Cal Baptist on Saturday, Nov. 7 at CBU, before facing off against San Diego State and Long Beach State at SDSU.
Arizona State’s fall schedule will give the Sun Devil coaches opportunities to evaluate the program’s 17 newcomers – 10 transfers, 7 freshmen – who will join nine returnees from a 2025 program that won the program’s fourth conference championship, earned ASU’s 35th all-time NCAA Regional berth and the Sun Devil’s 11th all-time appearance in the NCAA Super Regional. Last season, the Sun Devils won 45 games, the most by an Arizona State squad since winning 48 games in 2018.
A week ago, Arizona State Athletic Director Graham Rossini and Bartlett agreed to a contract extension through the 2031 season to ensure the continued growth and upward trajectory following the 2026 season.
