(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College softball pitcher Adriana Machado (Canyon del Oro HS) produced a strong week in the circle during the week of Apr. 5-11.
Machado, a freshman right-handed-pitcher, was named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season.
Machado had two complete-game outings as she gave up three runs (three earned) on seven hits with 13 strikeouts and four walks in 14 innings pitched. She picked up the wins as the Aztecs went 4-0 with victories over Mesa Community College and Glendale Community College.
She is 14-2 this season with a 3.85 ERA in 76.1 innings pitched. Machado has 18 starts and 20 total appearances with nine complete games. She has 49 strikeouts and 29 walks while giving up 42 earned runs.
The No. 7 ranked Aztecs will play at No. 10 South Mountain Community College on Saturday in Phoenix. The first game of the ACCAC conference doubleheader starts at 12:00 p.m.
