(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (21-4, 13-2 in ACCAC) earned its ninth straight win on Saturday as it hosted Chandler-Gilbert Community College (15-12, 6-9) at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.
The No. 11 ranked Aztecs used a pair of double digit runs in the second half to beat the Coyotes 94-63. The Aztecs went 3-0 against the Coyotes in the regular season.

Up 58-51, the Aztecs closed out the third quarter with a 12-2 run to take a 70-53 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
The Aztecs maintained their double-digit lead. Leading 77-59 with 5:18 remaining, they scored 14 straight points in the next four minutes to make it 91-59.
Freshman Lucy Fisher (Mesquite HS) scored a season-high 27 points to go with 11 rebounds. She shot 12-for-16 from the field and added two assists.
Sophomore Kiley Sours-Miller (Dream City Christian) secured her 10th double-double of the season as she finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. She added three blocks, one steal and one assist.
Freshman Reigne Waugh also scored in double figures with 14 points. She fell short of a double-double with nine rebounds and had two assists.
Sophomore Melicia Nelson (Window Rock HS) fell short of a triple-double as she added nine points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Freshman Kahlia Gonzales (Mesquite HS) posted seven points, six assists and two steals.
Sophomores Cassie Coolidge (Sahuaro HS) and Ahdiayh Chee (Dobson HS) each went 2-for-3 from beyond the arc with six points.
The Aztecs shot 52 percent (39-for-75) from the field, 42.1 percent (8-for-19) from three-point range and 72.7 percent (8-for-11) from the free throw line. They out-rebounded the Coyotes 58-20.
The Aztecs will be back on the road this coming Wednesday for an ACCAC conference matchup at South Mountain Community College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
