(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College softball pitcher Belen Camacho (Pueblo HS) earned national recognition for her starts during the week of Feb. 15-21.
Camacho, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, was named NJCAA National and ACCAC Conference Division II Pitcher of the Week.
Camacho went 2-0 in her starts and combined to give up no runs on seven hits with 16 strikeouts and one walk in wins over Scottsdale and Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Camacho is 5-1 with a 3.71 ERA in 39.2 innings pitched and six starts in the circle. She has made eight appearances in total with 37 strikeouts and 15 walks.
The No. 9 ranked Aztecs face a tough test on Saturday when they play at No. 13 Phoenix College in an ACCAC conference doubleheader. First game starts at 12:00 p.m.
