(Zapopan, Jalisco) The Charros de Jalisco team defeated the Tucson Baseball Team for the third consecutive night in the final game of the series at Estadio Panamericano, winning 6-5. This victory completed the sweep for the Arizona team, who were unable to secure a win in Jalisco.
Alejandro Osuna of the Charros opened the scoring with a triple in the second inning, driving in Reynaldo Rodríguez. Osuna also scored on a sacrifice fly by Cristopher Gastélum. Tucson responded in the bottom of the second inning, taking the lead with three runs. Agustín Ruiz and Msael Rivera scored on a fielder’s choice by Alejandro Quezada, and the two scored thanks to a fielding error by Jalisco’s first baseman, Reynaldo Rodríguez.
Ramón Mendoza scores the go-ahead run on a line drive by Noel Pérez. Jalisco regained the lead in the third inning with three runs, making the score 5-3.
Michael Wielanski singled in the tying run, Alejandro Osuna drove in the go-ahead run with another single, and Reynaldo Rodríguez scored on a throwing error by catcher Noel Pérez.
The game remained close until the bottom of the seventh when Ramón Mendoza hit a double, driving in Marco Chicuate and Agustín Ruíz to tie the game 5-5.
Charros took the lead again in the top of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Mateo Gil, scoring Cristopher Gastélum for the final score of 6-5.
The losing pitcher was Garret Alexander in relief, while Adrián Guzman earned the win, with Gerardo Reyes recording the save.
