(Tempe, AZ) Sun Devil Swim and Dive opened the season with two victories, as the ASU men defeated UNLV’s men’s team 236-60 and the ASU women were victorious 242-57 to open the 2025-26 campaign.
The Sun Devils will head down south next Friday to compete in the second annual All-Arizona Invite, featuring Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona and Arizona in Tucson at 1 p.m. MST.
The bleachers overflowed Friday night at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center where fans used parking garages as vantage points to watch the Sun Devils sweep the Rebels.
Junior Ilya Kharun set a pool record in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 43.91, and was one one-hundredth of a second off from setting the school record in the 200 fly, winning in 1:37.94.
Freshman Alexia Sotomayor won the 200 back in 1:55.44, and was second in the 100 back in 53.24, both setting personal bests. Full results of the meet can be found below.
