(Scottsdale, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (8-1, 5-1 in ACCAC) picked up its sixth straight win on Tuesday after its match at Scottsdale Community College (3-4, 3-3).
The No. 7 ranked Aztecs scored four goals in the first half and went on to beat the Artichokes 6-1. It snapped Pima’s four-game streak of shutout wins but the Aztecs have outscored their opponents 30-2 over the last six games.

Freshman Leonel Gutierrez (Salpointe Catholic HS) scored his 12th goal of the season after posting his third hat-trick. He scored in the 9th, 11th and 84th minutes.
Sophomore Robert Castaneda (Nogales HS) netted his fifth goal of the season when he scored in the 84thminute to make it 5-1.
Sophomore Joost Hermeling put the Aztecs on the board in the 7th minute.
Barone put the Artichokes on the board with his goal in the 56th minute.
The Aztecs finished the game with 17 shots on goal. The Artichokes closed it out with six as freshman Tommaso Leonardi had five saves.
The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday when they take on Mesa Community College. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.
