(Scottsdale, AZ) The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (4-1-3, 4-0-2 in ACCAC) had its four-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday in a game that featured two NJCAA Division II nationally ranked teams.
The No. 9 ranked Aztecs were forced to rally twice as they finished in a 2-2 tie against the No. 7 ranked Artichokes on the road.

Tied at 1-1 with under 10 minutes to play, the Artichokes (5-1-1, 4-1-1) took the lead when Sydney Delaney scored with 8:39 left (81st minute).
The Aztecs tied the game when sophomore Phoebe Knisley (Canyon del Oro HS) cleared it and found freshman Ava Dagnino (Salpointe Catholic HS) down field. She escaped two defenders and got passed the goalkeeper to score with 4:57 remaining (85th minute).
After a scoreless first half, the Artichokes struck first in the 66th minute but the Aztecs responded when freshman Hannah Romero (Tucson Magnet HS) scored three minutes later in the 69th minute.
The Aztecs finished with seven shots on goal while Scottsdale had 12. Knisley finished the game with 10 saves.
The Aztecs will return to the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday when they host Mesa Community College. Game time is set for 5:45 p.m.
