(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College women’s soccer player Brooke Valencia (Sabino HS) was instrumental in securing two victories for the Aztecs during the week of Sept. 7-13.
Valencia, a sophomore goalie, was named ACCAC Division II Goalkeeper of the Week.
She didn’t allow a goal and finished with five saves in 115 minutes of play in Pima’s shutout wins over Chandler-Gilbert Community College and GateWay Community College. The Aztecs outscored their opponents 15-0.
Valencia has played 205 minutes in four games so far this season. She has surrendered two goals and has a total of 11 saves.
The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday when they take on Paradise Valley Community College. Game time is set for 5:45 p.m.
