Baker averages 19 points in three games to earn ACCAC Division II Player of the Week

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College men’s basketball player Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) earned his second nod as ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Dec. 25-31.

Baker, a freshman guard, helped the Aztecs go 3-0 against NJCAA Division I teams during the Aztec Holiday Classic.

Baker averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists as the Aztecs defeated Bismarck State College (107-62), No. 5 ranked Snow College (83-79) and McLennan Community College (83-80).

Baker shot 44 percent from the field and went 12 for 14 (.857) from the free throw line.

He has played and started in all 13 games this season and is leading the Aztecs with 19.2 points per game.

The Aztecs take to the road on Wednesday when they visit Scottsdale Community College in ACCAC conference action. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
