(Mesa, AZ)  The Park University Gilbert men’s soccer team played La Sierra University to a scoreless tie this evening at Legacy Sports Park. With the tie, the Bucs move to 1-4-2 overall, and 1-1-1 in California Pacific Conference play. This was the first scoreless tie in Park Gilbert history.

While there was no scoring in this contest, it was a hotly contested and physical affair which saw each team garner four yellow cards apiece. There were 21 total fouls between the two squads.

Defense was the order of the night as each tea only have three shots on goal apiece and LSU was the only squad to get a shot on goal. The Eagles had the best opportunity of the night as they had a point blank opportunity in the first half only to be turned away by a sprawling save by Park netminder Zac Stephenson.

The Buccaneer look to get back into the win column on Saturday, Sept. 16 as they host the University of Saint Katherine at Legacy Sports Park at 8 p.m. The Buccaneers hold a 5-0 series lead against USK.
