Lacrosse Signs Graduate Transfer Katie Haley

(Tempe, AZ)  Sun Devil Lacrosse added graduate transfer Katie Haley to the roster, as announced by head coach Taryn VanThof Wednesday afternoon. She will join her younger sister, Annie Haley, as a Sun Devil and be the third pair of sisters housed on the team.

“I am very excited to add Katie Haley to our program,” VanThof said. “Her lacrosse IQ, experience and leadership will be advantageous for us as a fifth year player. It’s also a special opportunity for Katie to get back on the field with Annie.”

From Park Ridge, Illinois, she spent the last four years as a midfielder for the Colorado Buffaloes. Haley played in all 19 games and a had a career high of four draw controls against Vanderbilt in the first game of the 2023 season.

In Boulder, she accumulated eight goals, eight caused turnovers, 11 points, 14 ground balls and 30 draw controls.

A two-time Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll receipent (2022, 2021), Haley also made the 2022 IWLCA DI Academic Honor Roll.

She majored in Art Practices with minors in Creative Technology and Design and Business.

Her hobbies include photography, snowboarding and cheering on her favorite professional team, the Chicago White Sox.

This past season the Sun Devils graduated Katie Brodsky, Kaylon Buckner, Anna Winkeler, Brynn Holohan and Lindsey Spies.
