The No. 12 ranked Aztecs downed the Vaqueras 70-60 as Pima snapped a 5-game losing streak to Central Arizona College. Their last win against them was a 114-112 triple-overtime win on Feb. 2, 2019.
The Aztecs led 34-31 at halftime and outscored the Vaqueras in the third (18-16) and fourth (18-13) quarters.
“This team doesn’t always play the prettiest game or make all their shots, but they care about each other and play as a team,” Pima women’s basketball coach Todd Holthaus said. “A joy to coach.”
