Rattlers continue building on offense with Nick LaSane and Tyler Roemer

(Phoenix, AZ)   The Arizona Rattlers have added two more offensive players to their 2022 roster, re-signing running back Nick LaSane and signing offensive lineman Tyler Roemer for the upcoming season.

RB Nick LaSane (6’0, 225, Montana State University) returns to the Rattlers for his second IFL season. As a rookie in 2021, LaSane helped Arizona field the No. 1 rushing attack in the Indoor Football League, and he led all Rattler running backs with 315 yards on the ground and ten touchdowns. Nick also contributed 22 receptions for 152 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

LaSane is a native of Dallas, Texas, and his success prior to joining the Rattlers earned him a tryout with his hometown Dallas Cowboys. Nick’s football career took him to Serbia after college, as he played in the Central European Football League (CEFL) for the Kragujevac Wild Boars.

While attending Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, LaSane played for three years from 2015-2017. During his senior year, Nick rushed for 592 yards and three touchdowns, leading the team with a 6.4 yards average per carry.

During his prep career at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas, LaSane rushed for 2,349 yards on 264 carries. He scored 27 touchdowns over his career for the Wildcats, averaging 8.9 yards a carry. As a junior, LaSane was named to the all-district first team.

OL Tyler Roemer (6’7, 300, San Diego State University) joins the Rattlers for his IFL rookie season. Tyler made his professional debut with the Oakland Raiders in 2019, playing four games that season.

Prior to joining the Raiders, Roemer attended San Diego State and started 23 games at left tackle for the Aztecs over two seasons. In 2017 Roemer, was named a Freshman All-American, San Diego State’s Lineman of the Year, and was an All-Mountain West Second Team selection.

A native of Fernley, Nevada, Roemer played at Fernley High School for three seasons, leading the Vaqueros to back-to-back 7-2 seasons before graduating. Tyler earned all-league and all-state honors as both an offensive and defensive lineman and was selected as lineman of the year while at Fernley.

The Rattlers will play eight regular-season home games at Footprint Center in 2022  beginning in March, with the 16-game regular season running through July. The IFL playoffs will begin in late July.
