(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College volleyball team (9-8, 4-3 in ACCAC) got back to ACCAC conference play on Wednesday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (9-2, 4-2).
The Aztecs tied the match at 1-1 but dropped the next two sets as they fell to the No. 20 ranked Coyotes in four sets (27-25, 14-25, 25-18, 25-21).
Three Aztecs finished with double-doubles for the match. Sophomore Andrea Vigil-German (Ironwood Ridge HS) closed it out with 11 kills and 14 digs while fellow sophomore Jessica Bright-Schade (Safford HS) also finished with 11 kills to go along with 11 digs. Sophomore Isabella Jacome posted 16 assists and 12 digs.
Sophomore Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) had 21 digs while sophomore Karla Soto (Nogales HS) contributed with 24 assists and eight digs. Sophomore Kaylee Moseley (Marana HS) finished with six kills and four blocks.
The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium for a “White Out” match on Friday when they host Yavapai College. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
