Aztecs women’s soccer goalkeeper Amparano named ACCAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College women’s soccer player Angelina Amparano (Salpointe Catholic HS) earned her second nod for Goalkeeper of the Week.

Amparano, a sophomore, was named ACCAC Division II Co-Goalkeeper of the Week along with Phoenix College keeper Jennifer Alvillar for the week of Sept. 20-26.

This is Amparano’s second Goalkeeper of the Week selection as her first came for the week of August 23-29.

Amparano finished with 12 saves in Pima’s 1-0 loss at Phoenix College last Saturday.

She has played and started in all nine games racking up 765 minutes of play. She has 41 saves and a .872 saves percentage. The Aztecs have outscored their opponent 32-6 so far this season.

The No. 9 ranked Aztecs are back at the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday when they host Mesa Community College. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
