(Lexington, KY) Both Sun Devil Volleyball and Sun Devil Beach Volleyball have earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, both also earning the additional distinction of being on the honor roll for representing the top 20 percent of GPAs nationally.
Under head coaches JJ Van Niel and Kristen Glattfelder, these programs have earned the team academic award each of their seasons. Teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale earn the award from the AVCA.
For volleyball, this is another honor on a long list of academic honors this past school year. Four received CSC Academic All-District nods: Faith Frame, Ella Lomigora, Bailey Miller and Colby Neal. There were also 13 on the 2025 All-Big 12 Fall Academic Team. Additionally, Lomigora and Jillian Neal earned the 2025-26 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award.
Beach volleyball also had a number of academic honors. Zoë Taylor was on the 2026 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team. There were 10 on the 2026 All-Big 12 Spring Academic Team. The Sand Devils also had four earn the 2025-26 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award: Tori Clement, Reagan Hope, Samaya Morin and Addy White.
