(Gilbert, AZ) Park University Gilbert cross country student-athletes Johanna Jessop, Bridger Megeath and Nardia Padilla were all honored as Daktronics Scholar Athletes as announced by the NAIA today.
Jessop, a junior from Chonco, Ariz., earned the honor by posting a 4.0 GPA in Sport and Exercise Science. Jessop not only runs cross country but is also a member of the Park track and field team where she excels in the long jump, but also runs sprints.
Megeath, a junior from San Antonio, Texas, is a computer science major where he holds a 3.77 GPA. Megeath is also a track athlete where he excels as a sprinter in the 100 and 200 meters.
A graduate student from Chandler, Ariz., Padilla was one of the first recruits to come to Park Gilbert when the program was first created. She holds a 4.0 GPA in Psychology. Padilla holds the school outdoor track and field records in the 400m and the indoor and outdoor records in the long jump.
