(Gilbert, AZ) The Park University Gilbert baseball team has announced the signing of middle infielder Brody Knapp to a letter of intent to study and play baseball at Park University Gilbert beginning this fall.
Knapp, from Gilbert, Ariz., is a 2023 graduate of Mesa Mountain View High School where he was a varsity letter winner and coached by Jesus Arzaga.
His senior season, the Toros won the 6A East Valley Region with a 9-1 record and posted a 16-14 record overall. They reached the 6A state tournament but were upset in the first round.
Knapp had a .308 on base percentage and two stolen bases. He was flawless in the field with no errors on the season.
Knapp has played club baseball for the Arizona Select where he was coached by Junior Sartin, AZ Core and the Los Angeles Angels Scout program. He was tabbed Athlete of the Year during his freshman season.
Knapp has yet to decide on a major.
