(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s tennis team closed out the 2021 season on Friday in the final day of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Plano, TX.
The Aztecs finished in 22nd place out of 27 teams in the final standings with a team score of 6.5 points.
Freshman Emanuel Robles-Serrano (Desert View HS) fell in the No. 6 singles Consolation Finals match to Daniel Mahoney from University of South Carolina-Sumter 8-0.

The Aztecs held the top two seeds in each singles and doubles flight for the NJCAA Region I Championships. Freshman Mitchell Wilkinson (Catalina Foothills HS) took home the region title at No. 4 singles while sophomore Landon Strickland and Robles-Serrano won the No. 3 doubles region crown.
The Aztecs produced All-Region and All-ACCAC representatives in each flight.
