(San Francisco, CA) ARIZONA STATE head coach Bobby Hurley has been reprimanded by the Pac-12 Conference for public comments made about men’s basketball officiating, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Hurley made comments to the media that called into question the officiating during Arizona State’s game against Arizona on Thursday, Jan. 21.
“The Pac-12 membership has established standards of conduct, one of which prohibits coaches from making public derogatory comments regarding officiating,” said Scott. “It is the Conference’s responsibility to ensure compliance of these standards on behalf of its members, and there is a protocol which allows for coaches to provide feedback directly to the coordinator of officiating.”
