(Glendale, AZ) The Arizona Rattlers have re-signed one of the key pieces to the defense that led the league in the team’s national championship season.
Hayden Hatcher, who spent time at both linebacker and defensive line last season, has signed for the 2027 season.
In 16 games last season, he recorded 46 total tackles, 26 of those unassisted. He had eight tackles for loss and 2½ sacks. He also had a pass breakup and forced a fumble.
Hatcher, 6-3 and 230 pounds, suffered a season-ending leg injury in the early stages of the Rattlers’ first-round playoff victory over San Diego but expects to return at full strength in 2027.
Prior to joining the Rattlers in 2026, Hatcher was named to the 2025 IFL All-Rookie team playing for the Jacksonville Sharks. He played defensive end at the University of Kansas.
