(Irving, TX)  On Thursday morning, the Big 12 Conference announced the eight-series conference slate for each member’s softball program with the Sun Devils alternating home and road series for the duration of its two-month conference schedule.

“We are excitedly looking forward to the spring to defend our Big 12 championship,” said Sun Devil Softball head coach Megan Bartlett. “This team is looking forward to building upon the momentum of the 2026 squad.”

Arizona State, which won the 2026 Big 12 Conference Tournament Championship just three months ago, will open its 2027 conference tilt against BYU on Thursday, March 11. The Sun Devils concluded their 2026 regular season with a three-game sweep of the Cougars in Provo, Utah to earn a spot in the league’s postseason tournament.

The following week, the Sun Devils will travel to Stillwater, Okla., for a three-game series at Oklahoma State, a program Arizona State beat three times – including in the semifinals of the conference tournament – throughout the 2025 season. The series will mark just the second trip to Stillwater for ASU after the two met at Cowgirl Stadium on March 17, 2023.

ASU will welcome UA to town the following weekend, before the Sun Devils return to the Lone Star State to square off against the Baylor Bears in Waco beginning on April 2. The series-opening contest will mark the first time Arizona State has played a softball game against Baylor in Waco in program history.

Houston will make its first trip back to Farrington Stadium since March 2023 when the Cougars travel to Tempe for a three-game series slated to start on April 9. Arizona State will make its long-awaited return to Salt Lake City on April 16, when the Sun Devils battle against former Pac-12 foe Utah, marking ASU’s first trip to Dumke Family Softball Stadium since the Utes and Sun Devils joined the Big 12.

Arizona State will conclude its home conference schedule in late April, when the Sun Devils host Iowa State for a three-game series beginning on April 23. ASU will, then, receive a ‘bye week’ from conference action, before ending its regular season on the road at Texas Tech.

Since joining the Big 12 prior to the 2025 season, the Sun Devils have concluded their regular season conference schedule on the road every season, including twice in Lubbock, Texas.
