(Phoenix, AZ) The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) and Arizona Milk Producers are partnering to support the wellness, recovery and performance of student-athletes across Arizona. As part of the new multi-year agreement, chocolate milk will serve as the “Official & Exclusive Recovery Beverage of the AIA.”
Together, Arizona Milk Producers and the AIA will promote science-based sports nutrition and recovery education through digital campaigns, championship event activations, social media and educational resources designed to help student-athletes make informed recovery choices.
“We can’t think of a better partner to come on board and further our mission of cultivating the best in our students and athletes,” said AIA Executive Director Dr. Jim Dean. “The benefits of proper all-around wellness for competition will follow these students beyond school and solidify good habits for the future. This importance cannot be understated.”
Tammy Baker, General Manager of Arizona Milk Producers, shared her enthusiasm for the new partnership.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Arizona Interscholastic Association to support student-athletes across the state and reinforce the important role nutrition and dairy play in their success. At Arizona Milk Producers, we know that wellness, proper nutrition, and recovery are essential to helping athletes perform at their best — whether they’re competing on the field, excelling in the classroom, or building healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Through this partnership and the Champions Choose Milk campaign, we’re excited to help educate and empower the next generation of Arizona athletes.”
At the center of the partnership is the “Champions Choose Milk” campaign, which encourages student-athletes to make recovery part of their training routine. Through educational content and on-site activations, the campaign will highlight how chocolate milk supports recovery by providing high-quality protein, carbohydrates, fluids and electrolytes after exercise.
Student-athletes, families, coaches and fans will experience the partnership throughout the year through championship event activations, social media, broadcast features and educational content focused on recovery, nutrition and athletic performance.
