(Tucson, AZ) The Tucson Sugar Skulls welcome a new offensive assistant and wide receiver coach, Andrae Thurman, to the Boneyard against the Arizona Rattlers in Desert Diamond Arena on May 10, 2026.
Coach Thurman brings years of professional football experience across the NFL, CFL, AFL, and UFL to Tucson’s coaching staff. Thurman played collegiately at both Southern Oregon University and the University of Arizona before signing with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He later built a successful professional career in arena and indoor football, becoming a two-time UFL champion and establishing himself as one of the league’s top offensive playmakers during his time with the Las Vegas Locomotives.
Fans can expect to see coach Thurman in action against the Arizona Rattlers on May 10 in Glendale, Arizona, at Desert Diamond Arena at 4:30 p.m. by purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster. Fans can also watch coach Thurman and the Sugar Skulls on Yahoo Sports TV.
