Hannah Droeg becomes three-time NJCAA All-American after third place finish in Heptathlon at NJCAA Outdoor Nationals

(Hobbs, NM)  The Pima Community College women’s track & field team completed the second day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Friday at New Mexico Junior College.

The Aztecs sit in 16th place in the updated team standings with seven points.

Sophomore Hannah Droeg (Casteel HS) became a three-time NJCAA All-American as she took third place in the Heptathlon with a total of 4591 points. She took second place in the High Jump with a mark of 1.60 meters and third place in the Javelin at 35.30 meters.
Droeg took sixth place in the Heptathlon at the 2025 NJCAA Outdoor National Championships and second place in the Pentathlon at this year’s NJCAA Indoor National Championships. She captured the 2026 Region I title in the Heptathlon with a personal-record of 4974 points. She is No. 2 in Pima Outdoor school history. She owns the Pima Indoor school record in the Pentathlon with 3366 points.

Other Pima finishes on the second day at the NJCAA Division I National Championships:

Tess Sage (Arcadia HS) – 12th place in the Heptathlon 4024 points

Elizabeth Ugwu (Sahuaro HS) – 12th place in the Shot Put 12.32 meters (40-feet, 5-inches)

Kathleen Farley (Perry HS) – 14th place in the Heptathlon 3665 points

Isabella Files – 14th place in Shot Put 12.08 meters (39-7.50)

The Aztecs will compete in the final day of the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Saturday in Hobbs, NM.
