Softball becomes 1st GCU sport to win a MW title in 1st year in league
(Colorado Springs, CO) Grand Canyon defeated Colorado State 10-5 in the series opener on Thursday night to claim the Mountain West Regular-Season Championship in its first season in the league.
The Lopes stepped up in competition to one of the nation’s toughest softball conferences and proceeded to win the league with two days left in the regular season.
GCU will be the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament that begins in Reno, Nevada, next week.
