(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College baseball team (26-25, 18-20 in ACCAC) showcased an offensive clinic on Tuesday in its game against Phoenix College (18-30, 14-23).
The Aztecs scored 13 runs in the 2nd inning and went on to beat the Bears 13-1 in five innings.

Sophomore Mike Jones (Canyon del Oro HS) hit an RBI double to put the Aztecs on the board, scoring sophomore Matt MacDonald. In his second at-bat of the inning, he hit a grand slam, bringing around freshmen Cooper Kruk (Catalina Foothills HS), Damian Lorta (Desert View HS) and MacDonald to make it 9-0.
Sophomore Jackson Glueck hit a two-run homer to right field, scoring freshman Adriel Figueroa-Brito to make it 5-0. Sophomore Leon Cereceres hit a triple and scored on a passed ball. Sophomore Ramon Martinez hit an RBI double to plate freshman Aciel Guillen (Salpointe Catholic HS) to make it 10-0. Martinez later scored on a wild pitch. The Aztecs capped off the inning with five straight walks and had nine for the inning.
Jones finished the game 2-for-3 with five RBIs and two runs. Glueck went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run while Martinez was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run. Cereceres, Figueroa-Brito and MacDonald each scored two runs.
Freshman Braxton Bjur (Verrado HS) got the win as he pitched all five innings, giving up one run (one earned) on seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks on 92 pitches.

The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Field on Wednesday for an ACCAC conference game against Glendale Community College. First pitch is at 12:00 p.m.
