(Mesa, AZ) The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team (3-11, 1-7) lost to the Wayne State College Wildcats (6-3, 0-0) by a score of 5-0, Tuesday morning at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
The Buccaneers now fall to 0-9 all-time against Wayne State, an NCAA Division II program with a 6-3 overall record.
Park-Gilbert’s No. 5 pair of Athena Hice and Marissa Moorehouse pushed WBC to the lone third set of the day, after claiming a 21-18 win in the first set.

The Buccaneers hit the road as they return to the court this Thursday, March 19 at 10 a.m. MST, when they face the Life Pacific University Warriors (1-9, 0-9) in Huntington Beach, Calif. Park-Gilbert and the rest of the Great Southwest Athletic Conference will compete in the 2026 GSAC California Round Robin from this Wednesday to this Friday.
