Aztecs Baseball falls in single game to Okotoks Baseball Club

(Tucson, AZ)  The Pima Community College baseball team (18-16) was back at the West Campus Aztec Field on Wednesday for a non-conference against the Okotoks Baseball Club (Canada).

The Aztecs fell to the Dawgs 10-1 as Pima has lost eight of their last 10 games.

The Dawgs scored seven runs in the 4th inning, two in the 7th and one run in the 8th inning.
Sophomore Quintin Hennesy (Horizon HS) drove in the only run of the game for Pima as he hit an RBI single to left field to score Juan Hernandez (Tucson Magnet HS). Hernandez hit a double to left field to reach on base.

The Aztecs had one hit and two walks for the rest of the game and left eight runners on base.

Hennesy finished the game 2-for-3 with an RBI while freshman Juan Hernadez (Tucson Magnet HS) went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Freshman Owen Wade (Pinnacle HS) was 1-for-2 with a walk and sophomore Jackson Glueck closed out the game going 1-for 2 with two walks.

Sophomore Max Leyva (Tucson Magnet HS) was 1-for-3.Sophomore Diego Garcia (Salpointe Catholic HS) took the loss as he pitched one inning, giving up seven runs (seven earned) on seven hits with one strikeout and one walk.

The Aztecs will play another non-conference single game on Friday against Madison College at the West Campus Aztec Field. First pitch will be at 12:00 p.m.
