Mason Hunt scores 24 points as Men’s Basketball pulls away in the second half to beat Scottsdale College to move to 25-0

(Scottsdale, AZ)  The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (25-0, 13-0 in ACCAC) won its 25th straight game on Saturday after topping Scottsdale Community College (12-12, 6-7) on the road.

The No. 4 ranked Aztecs beat the Artichokes 82-68 as Pima outscored Scottsdale 52-38 in the second half. The score was tied at 30-30 at halftime.

Sophomore Mason Hunt (Bradshaw Mountain HS) scored a team-high 24 points as he went 9-for-17 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds.

Freshman Isaiah Hill went 7-for-10 from the field and scored 20 points to go with six assists and three rebounds.

Freshman Rowan McKenzie (Boulder Creek HS) added 14 points as he went 4-for-7 from three-point range.

Sophomore Isaac Johnson closed it out with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.

The Aztecs shot 46.7 percent (28-for-60) from the field, 34.8 percent (8-for-23) from beyond the arc and 85.7 percent (18-for-21) from the free throw line.

The Aztecs will play at Phoenix College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
