(Tucson, AZ) Pima Community College men’s track & field athlete Taylor Brown’s performance in the 400-meter race last Saturday (Jan. 17) caught the eye of the ACCAC conference.
Brown, a sophomore sprinter, was named ACCAC Men’s Track & Field Co-Athlete of the Week along with Tyreeq Jones from Glendale Community College.
Brown took first place in the 400-meter race with a time of 47.02 seconds. His finish put him third in the NJCAA Division I rankings. Brown’s time broke the Pima school record previously held by Tristan Spalding at 47.83 in 2023.
The Aztecs will compete at the PVCC Indoor Invitational on Saturday at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix. The first events start at 9:00 a.m.
