Isaiah Hill averages 17 points and shoots 89 percent from beyond the arc to earn ACCAC Player of the Week

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College men’s basketball player Isaiah Hill (Premier Prep Academy) earned praise from the ACCAC conference for his play during the week of Jan. 11-17.

Hill, a freshman guard, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week. This is the fifth time a Pima Men’s Basketball player has earned the award this season.

He averaged 17.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals as the Aztecs beat Scottsdale Community College and Phoenix College. Hill shot 61 percent (11-for-18) from the field, 89 percent (8-for-9) from beyond the arc and 100 percent (4-for-4) from the free throw line.

Hill has played and started in 19 games this season averaging 15.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals. He is shooting 63.9 percent from the field, 56.1 percent from three-point range and 73.3 percent from the free throw line.

The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Saturday when they take on South Mountain Community College. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
