(Guasave, Sinaloa)Tucson fell in a thrilling 3-2 game, thus being eliminated from playoff contention in the ARCO Mexican Pacific League.
The Sinaloa team started strong, scoring two runs early in the game. American Drew Avans drove in Leo Heras with a sacrifice bunt on a throwing error by pitcher Mark Simon. Víctor Labrada then drove in the second run with a single.
Tucson narrowed the gap to 2-1 in the top of the second inning thanks to a balk by Algodoneros pitcher Connor Curlis.

Guasave held the lead until the bottom of the eighth inning when Guasave’s pitching issued two walks. Combined with timely hitting from Tucson, Samar Leyva hit a single behind first base, scoring pinch-runner Marcos Valenzuela from second and tying the game at 2-2.
In the ninth, Algodoneros, led by Esteban Quiróz, delivered a walk-off single that gave them the victory and a playoff berth.
Jorge Sauceda took the loss, and Manuel Castro earned the win.
