(Los Mochis, Sinaloa) The second game of the series in Los Mochis went to Cañeros, securing the series win after Tucson fell 5-4.
Cañeros took an early lead in the top of the first inning when Dayson Croes scored on a
groundout by Eric Filia.

Tucson tied the game in the bottom of the second inning when River Town scored on a line
drive to center field by Francisco Noel Pérez, grandson of the legendary “Paquín” Estrada,
making the score 1-1.
In the top of the third, the visiting Cañeros put together a four-run rally. Eric Filia drove in
two runs with a double, and Asael Sánchez followed with a home run, driving in Filia.
With the score 5-1 in the fifth inning, Tucson closed the gap, scoring three runs. Edgar Lugo
scored on a throwing error by pitcher Darel Torres to make it 5-2. Gaige Howard singled,
driving in Jesús Fabela to make it 5-3, and José Carlos Ureña hit his fourth double of the
season, bringing Bobby Bradley home with the third run of the inning to make it 5-4.

Dakota Chalmers
Dakota Chalmers, in his Tucson debut, took the loss, pitching 2 1/3 innings, striking out one,
walking three, and allowing all five of the Cañeros’ runs. The win went to Vicente Valenzuela
in relief, with Daniel Correa earning the save (4).
