(Los Mochis, Sinaloa) The Arizona team fell 2-1 tonight to their Sinaloa counterparts, the Cañeros de Los Mochis, in the first game of the series, with Tucson serving as the designated home team.
Despite Tucson putting the game on the board in the bottom of the first inning, they were unable to add to their tally and stumbled tonight in Sinaloa.

Jesús Fabela hit his second home run of the season off a pitch from Miranda, the Cañeros’ starting pitcher.
The Cañeros scored a run in the second inning, also on a home run by Josh Rehwaldt, his third of the year in the green uniform. The game remained tied until the seventh inning, when catcher Juan Uriarte scored the go-ahead and winning run on a groundout to center field by Isaac Rodríguez.
Revire a primera
The win in the first game of the series went to Miguel Angel León in relief, with Daniel Correa recording the save, while Eduardo Mares took the loss.
Tomorrow, Tucson will look to even the three-game series being played in Los Mochis, Sinaloa.
