(Tucson, AZ) A well-rounded outing from No. 6 Sun Devil Volleyball got the win over Arizona on Saturday evening in four sets (25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-16) at the McKale Center, extending the winning streak to 11 in a row.

Arizona State (17-2, 8-0 Big 12) has now won five in a row in the rivalry series against Arizona (11-8, 5-4 Big 12). Head coach JJ Van Niel is undefeated against the Wildcats. ASU held Arizona to a .152 hitting percentage.
The Sun Devils have now won 11 matches in a row, which is tied for the fifth-longest streak in program history. Additionally, it is 24 conference wins in a row.
Van Niel notched career win number 75 after today’s victory against Arizona. He is 75-12 all-time.
Senior outside hitter Bailey Miller had 19 kills while hitting .432 to lead the team, adding 12 digs as well for her seventh double-double of the season. This was her 12th match in double figures in kills this year, fourth in a row. She also had three blocks.
Junior middle blocker Ella Lomigora, a native of Arizona, had a season-high 10 kills on a blistering .769 clip. This is her sixth match in her career with double-digit kills, first of the season. She also had five blocks, a team high.
Another Sun Devil with double-digit kills was junior opposite Noemie Glover with 15 on a .400 hitting percentage. It’s her eighth match in a row reaching double figures in kills. She added four blocks and a season-high five digs.
Leading the team in digs was senior outside hitter Tatum Parrott with 14, matching her season best. She also notched seven kills and an ace.
Senior setter Sydney Henry had a team-high 33 assists, adding nine digs as well.
Sophomore libero Faith Frame had 11 digs in the win, her 10th time this season reaching double figures this season.
For this win, Arizona State receives a half point in the Territorial Cup Series, the other half up for grabs in Tempe on November 13.
Set one: ASU 25, Arizona 18
After ASU jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the match, Arizona responded with six points in a row to go up 6-4. The teams traded back and forth until the Sun Devils scored three-straight points, capped off by a solo block from Lomigora, to go up 11-9. A 4-1 ASU run with two kills from Miller put the team up 15-11 heading into the media timeout. Following kills from Miller and Glover to make it 17-12, the Wildcats called their first timeout. Parrott had a well-placed roll shot down the line to push the lead to 20-14, bringing the second timeout from the home team. The Sun Devils kept the edge down the stretch, a line shot from Miller winning it 25-18.
Set two: Arizona 25, ASU 22
An ace from Jillian Neal made it an early 3-1 lead for Arizona State. After the Wildcats got back up by one, a kill from Glover tied it at 6-6. Arizona kept nudging ahead, but ASU would keep it close, a kill from Kiylah Presley making it a one-point set, down 12-11. However, the Wildcats scored four in a row to lead 16-11. The Sun Devils battled back into it, scoring four in a row behind the serve of Bella Faria to get within one, 17-16, forcing a Wildcat timeout. A 4-1 run for the Wildcats pushed their lead back up to 22-18, bringing a Sun Devil timeout. Arizona would win 25-22.
Set three: ASU 25, Arizona 16
ASU started strong, going up 6-3 after a block from Glover and Colby Neal. Arizona cut the lead to one after a 3-1 run, 10-9, but two kills and an ace from Miller pushed it back up to 14-10 behind a 4-1 run. Three-straight kills from Glover added to the lead, 17-11, and brought a timeout from the Wildcats. ASU added to its lead with another run of three, making it 20-12. Then a block from Lomigora and Miller made it 22-14, forcing the Wildcats’ final timeout. At math point, Frame’s dig kept the rally alive for Miller to roll shot for the kill, 25-16.
Set four: ASU 25, Arizona 16
The Sun Devils jumped out to a 6-2 lead after a 4-0 run that saw three Wildcat errors. Arizona cut the lead down to two a five separate times, but kills from Miller and Presley held them off. After kills from Miller and Colby Neal made it 13-9, the Wildcats called their first timeout. Arizona had four-straight attack errors to add to ASU’s lead, 17-10. Kills from Glover and Lomigora pushed the advantage to 20-11 for the Sun Devils. The teams traded points until the end, Glover’s tool off the block winning it 25-16.
