(Mesa, AZ) The Park University Gilbert men’s soccer team (1-3-1) played to its first tie in the 2025 season against the Oregon Tech Owls (2-0-3), Sunday night at Arizona Athletic Grounds.
These two teams tied 0-0 in their first-ever meeting, as the Buccaneers concluded their non-conference portion of the 2025 schedule following the end of this match.
Both teams struggled to get shots on the board in this defensive struggle, as Oregon Tech outshot Park-Gilbert 7-6. The Owls also won the shot on goal battle 3-1. This physical match also included a combined 19 fouls and three yellow cards from both teams.
In net for the Bucs on Sunday night was senior goalkeeper Nicklas Lagesen, who picked up three saves in his fifth start of the season.
The Buccaneers now look ahead to Great Southwest Athletic Conference play, as they prepare to host the OUAZ Spirit (1-2-0) next Saturday. This game will be played at 7:30 p.m. MST on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Arizona Athletic Grounds.
