(Gilbert, AZ) Park University Gilbert women’s volleyball head coach Pisila Tukia has announced the first two signings in her 2025 class as she has inked setter Anna DeMario and middle blocker Jaiden Kramer to letters of intent to study and play volleyball at Park Gilbert.
DeMario is a 5-9 setter who is transferring from Galivan College. A native of Gilroy, Calif., DeMario provides the Bucs with needed height from the setter position and will compete for playing time right away. In DeMario’s two seasons at Gavilan College, a community college in Gilroy, Calif., she was a two-time all-conference member.
As a freshman, DeMario played on the right side and led the team in kills before making the switch to setter her sophomore campaign. In her sophomore season, DeMario did something virtually unheard of, leading her team in assists and kills. She posted 170 putaways while also dishing out 232 assists in 18 matches. DeMario plans to major in Psychology but would like to be a volleyball coach after her playing days have ended.
Kramer, a Peoria, Ariz., native, will help provide much needed depth in the middle for the Bucs. She prepped at Centennial High School in Peoria before playing one season at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Kramer looks to continue the tradition of impact middles to transfer from Park Gilbert, as Kayla Wieserman was the first middle blocker to come to Park from CGCC back in the Bucs inaugural season and her name litters the lists all-time leaders at Park in several categories. Kramer intends to study Criminal Justice at Park.
