(Tempe, AZ)  No. 6 seed Sun Devil Beach Volleyball fell 3-1 to No. 3 seed Stanford on Friday, ending their run in the Pac-12 Championships. Senior Taryn Ames and graduate Lexi Sweeney were named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team.

Arizona State moves to an 11-9 record against ranked teams this season and 21-9 overall. This was the third time in program history that the Sun Devils had won two duals at the Pac-12 Championships.

The No. 3 pair of Ames and Sweeney was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team for their efforts this week. This is the second all-tournament team nod for Sweeney, who also earned the honor in 2022. They are the fifth all-tournament pair for the Sun Devils in program history.

The two Phoenix natives of Ames and Sweeney won their match in three sets, improving to 20-9 on the year. That is good for the fourth most by a pair in a single season, sixth most for career pair wins. They both now have 61 career individual wins, which is tied for the third most in program history.
