(Tucson, AZ)  The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to NCAA Division I teams this morning at the University of Arizona, losing to the host Wildcats 5-0 before falling to the University of Texas El Paso 5-0.

The Bucs No. 2 duo of Nichole Gary and Grace Baker had their seven match winning streak snapped against the Wildcats 21-18, 21-16 after having beaten teams from Division II Wayne State (twice), NAIA No. 1 OUAZ along with No. 8 Westcliff and No. 10 Saint Katherine.

The Bucs did not win a set in either of the matches but made a solid accounting of themselves coming close to taking a set in a couple of matches.

The Bucs now have a rematch with UTEP tomorrow at Gene Autry Park starting at 11 a.m. before a scrimmage with Mesa Community College to finish the day at 1 p.m. Next week, the Bucs travel to California to compete in the Cal Pac California Jamboree on March 22 and 23.
