Sun Devils Fight Back at Colorado But Fall 82-70

ASU fell behind 12-0 (16:15), 18-1 (14:35), 21-4 (13:38) and 31-13 (8:57), but cut the deficit to 31-24 and trailed only 37-33 with just under three minutes left in the half but a late Colorado run made it 44-35 at intermission. CU made 15-of-16 (.938) free throws in the first half, while ASU was 13-of-32 (.406) from the field.

FIGURED IT OUT A LITTLE

After falling behind 31-13, ASU outscored CU 57-51. ASU did trail again by 17 at 13:18 mark (57-40), but cut the lead to 63-56 with 6:58 but missed a three-pointer. Frankie Collinsmade it 73-68 with 2:13 left on a driving layup, but CU made a couple of tough shots late for the final margin.

NOTES

ASU was whistled for 24 fouls, second-highest on the year (29 at Oregon State on Jan. 27)…CU’s 29 free throw attempts was second-highest given up by ASU (49 at Oregon State).
