(Tucson, AZ) The Pima Community College men’s track & field team competed in GCC Indoor Invitational on Saturday at Glendale Community College.
The No. 7 ranked Aztecs gained another NJCAA Indoor national qualifying mark and now have 17 total so far this season.
Freshman Nathaniel Curtiss (University HS) improved on his national qualifying mark in the High Jump as he cleared 2.14 meters (7-feet, 0.25-inches) on his first attempt. He is unofficially ranked No. 1 in the country in the event. It is the best mark for a Pima High Jumper since 2017.
Sophomore Brett Wynn (Corona del Sol HS) earned his national qualifying mark in the High Jump as he placed third with a jump of 1.99 meters (6-6.25) on his first attempt. He joins teammates Curtiss and freshman Tyler Rogers as the male representatives in the event.
The Aztecs will compete in their final Indoor season meet on Friday at the NAU Tune-Up in Flagstaff. Events begin at 2:00 p.m.
