(San Francisco) Senior Sarah Clark is the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week after winning event titles on bars and beam and helping No. 20 Sun Devil Gymnastics to a road win at Stanford last week.
This is the first specialist of the week win for Arizona State since 2019 when Justine Callis won. For Clark, this is her third weekly award, joining her two freshmen of the week nods from 2021. This season, ASU has had two Pac-12 weekly awards. For the complete list of winners, head to the Pac-12’s release.
In the anchor spot, Clark scored a season-high 9.950 on bars to win the event title. That score was the highest by any Sun Devil on that event this season. Additionally, she led the team on beam with a season-high 9.925, which won her another event title. That score is tied for the highest by any Gym Devil this season on beam. This was her second beam title this season. Her beam performance was particularly clutch as a fall lead-off the rotation, showing cool confidence from Clark and the rest of the lineup to win a close meet.
Clark helped ASU get its first conference win, getting the victory at Stanford by a slim .100 margin with a season-high road score of 196.975.
