Rylei Waugh’s 23 points earns fourth selection as ACCAC Player of the Week

(Tucson, AZ)  Pima Community College women’s basketball player Rylei Waugh put together another standout performance and received her fourth nod as ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.

Waugh scored a team-high 23 points in Pima’s 54-50 loss at Mesa Community College on Saturday. She went 2 for 6 from three-point range and 9 for 10 from the free throw line. She also had two steals, one rebound and one block.

Waugh’s previous ACCAC Division II Player of the Week selections came on the weeks of Dec. 31-Jan. 6, Dec. 10-16 and Nov. 5-11.

She has played and started in all 18 games averaging 16.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game. She is shooting 82.2 percent from the free throw line.

The Aztecs are back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Wednesday when they face off against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
