Sugar Skulls sign WR’s Akilian Butler & Allen Dailey Jr.

(Tucson, AZ)  The Tucson Sugar Skulls have signed a pair of rookie wide receivers for the 2024 IFL season. Wideouts Akilian Butler and Allen Dailey will each join Tucson for their rookie seasons in the IFL.

Akilian Butler joins the Sugar Skulls for his first season in the IFL in 2024. 

The Boise State product stands at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds and has proven to be a dynamic playmaker early in his career. 

During his senior season at Boise State, he appeared in all 14 games, making eight starts. He caught 28 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns and rushed eight times for 57 yards with a rushing touchdown. 

Butler joins the Sugar Skulls after playing collegiately for Boise State from 2015-2019. A Dallas, TX native, Butler attended West Mesquite High School.

Allen Dailey will join the Sugar Skulls for his first season in the IFL in 2024. 

Dailey (6’3″, 208) played collegiately at the University of Kentucky. He appeared in 37 games in three seasons at Kentucky, totaling 23 receptions for 252 yards and two touchdowns, and saw action on special teams as well. 

Dailey is a Pinson, Alabama native and attended Pinson Valley High School where he was a three-star recruit. His 23 receiving touchdowns tied for second in Alabama High School Athletic Association single-season history. Earned Class 6A first-team All-State honors by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. 

The standout receiver picked Kentucky over Louisville, UAB, and Arkansas State.
