(Portland, OR)  The Park University Gilbert men’s soccer team ended its non-conference season with a 5-0 loss to 18th-ranked Warner Pacific University, this afternoon. The Bucs fall to 0-3-1 heading into California Pacific Conference play next week.

The Bucs fell behind 2-0 in the first half as the Knights got on the board at 3:38 with a goal from Luke Wagener. They tacked on the second goal 13 minutes later from Bryace McCole.

The Knights added three more tallies in the second half as they lived in the Buccaneer end pounding 22 shots (15 on goal) on Buccaneer netminder Zac Stephenson for the game.

Park struggled to generate offense only firing off two shots (both on goal) for the entire game. Ashton Owen and Konstantinos Hinteregger had the only shots on goal for the Bucs.

Park Gilbert will now start Cal Pac play on the road at Soka University on Thursday, September 7 at 5 p.m. The Buccaneers lost a tough 3-2 match to the Lions last year at Legacy Sports Park.
